Dr. Enrique Jacome
Board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Jacome is a leading expert in minimally invasive laparoscopic and pelvic reconstructive surgery, and has performed more than performed more than 2,000 laparoscopic procedures. His work has been published in major medical journals including the Journal of American Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and the Journal of Reproductive Medicine. He has been a featured speaker at national and international conferences such as the World Congress of Gynecologic Endoscopy and the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, as well as a guest expert on TV and radio.
Dr. Jacome was the first physician in Riverside County to perform robotic surgery using the Da Vinci® S HD Surgical System. The Da Vinci system has revolutionized the treatment of a wide range of gynecological conditions, offering the benefits of minimally invasive surgery for complex procedures. Surgery is performed using 4 robotic arms, through a few tiny incisions. A camera in one of the arms provides the surgeon a high-definition, 3D view of the surgical area that is larger than life, for greater precision. Pain, scarring, hospital stays and recovery times are significantly reduced. Patients who undergo robotic surgery for a hysterectomy typically recover in 2 to 3 weeks, compared to 6 to 8 weeks with conventional surgery.
To date, Dr. Jacome has performed more than 300 robotic-assisted surgeries. In 2010, he was appointed to lead the Epicenter for Robotic Training at Eisenhower Medical Center, one of two such centers in California, out of only 29 nationwide. Surgeons from around the country and across the globe visit the Epicenter to learn about the latest advances in robotic surgery.
At Fleur Women’s Health, Dr. Jacome’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of women’s health, from preventative medical services to complex gynecologic conditions. He has nearly two decades of experience in the field of hormone replacement therapy, including new-generation BHRT (Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy) fused pellet implants.
